"I'm curious to see if he still has it" - 2-time champion has "mixed emotions" on CM Punk's WWE return

CM Punk's return to WWE in November 2023 and his ability to perform at the same level have often been the talk of the town, as some fans are unaware of his work with AEW. However, a popular star has also questioned it and has mixed emotions towards The Second City Saint's return.

Earlier this year, Jinder Mahal made his return to Monday Night RAW and shocked fans across the world after his encounter with The Rock and Seth Rollins in less than two weeks.

Speaking to Gaelyn Mendonca on WWE India, Jinder Mahal was asked about The Second City Saint's return. The Modern Day Maharaja said he had mixed emotions towards it and sided with the current World Heavyweight Champion.

"So, I've mixed emotions. The fan in me is excited for CM Punk's return. I'm excited for the matches, I'm excited to get in the ring with CM Punk. But, I do see Seth's [Rollins] point because I was there when CM Punk was in WWE last time and Seth also has a point. Nonetheless, let's see what CM Punk does, let's see his attitude, let's see his reactions, you know. Let's see if he offers the opportunities to the younger superstars, let's see," he said.

The former United States Champion also praised Punk and questioned if he still has it.

"Overall, I'm excited but I can see Seth's point at the same time, we have a new generation of fans. Some people watching haven't seen CM Punk before and this is the first time they're seeing CM Punk. But, CM Punk is one of the all-time greatest and I'm curious to see if he still has it. So, let's find out." [From 08:55 to 10:02]

CM Punk could potentially feud with former World Champion on WWE RAW

In November 2023, CM Punk officially returned to WWE at Survivor Series in Chicago. The fans and superstars celebrated The Second City Saint's return to the promotion. However, some were not happy with the return.

World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins was fuming when Punk returned to close the show. Later, the two stars fired shots at each other and eventually cut promos inside the squared circle.

However, The Visionary might not be the only star Punk has to worry about on the red brand. Drew McIntyre kicked off this week's RAW and exchanged words with The Best in The World.

While many believe Punk vs. Rollins might be the main event of WrestleMania 40 Night One, The Second City Saint might as well have a short feud with Drew McIntyre on WWE RAW before the event.
