"I'm not done here," says 16-time WWE champion who recently hinted at retirement
Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins recently teased retirement. Following his match at Crown Jewel against Bronson Reed, The Visionary in an interview stated that he was getting closer to the end of his career, not knowing how much he could deliver in the future.
Rollins, in a recent interview, also discussed that he was eying a role 'behind the scenes' once he leaves his boots in the ring. With The Visionary's recent injuries that have kept him out of action for a major part of this year, it is clear that Rollins was not a hundred percent heading into his bout against Bronson Reed.
In a recent appearance on The Pivot Podcast, Rollins, who has won five world titles, one NXT Championship, two Intercontinental and US Titles each, and six tag team titles, discussed younger stars making a name for themselves and trying to take over his spot. Seth Rollins, while stating that he wanted younger stars to take his position, added that he was going to fight for his position rather than handing it over. The former WWE Champion stated that he was 'not done' and that his fight would make the younger generation better.
“When you’ve got guys, young guys and girls coming up underneath you, they just want—they want to take your spot, and they should. I want you to come in here and outwork me. I want you to come in and take my spot, and I want you to fight for it. But I’m gonna fight back. I’m not done here. I’m going to try everything I can. I’m gonna make it hard for you because that’s going to make you better on the back end,” said Rollins. (33:28 onwards)
What's next for Seth Rollins in WWE?
Seth Rollins returned from Saudia Arabia with a massive win against Bronson Reed at Crown Jewel. However, the Visionary lost a Fatal Four-Way match on WWE RAW in the Kingdom, after Reed unleashed a brutal assault on the former World Champion.
With the recent developments, it is clear that the feud between Seth Rollins and Bronson Reed is far from over. Another match between both men is bound to happen in the next few weeks. Fans will have to wait and see if The Visionary is able to claim a victory against the 'monster' once again.
