"I'm gonna do it" - Major name open to pursuing new opportunities outside WWE
Being a WWE Superstar often provides new opportunities to wrestlers outside the company, and one such name could dive into some in the near future. Recently, Drew McIntyre addressed the possibility of starring in more films.
Drew McIntyre is set to make his big screen debut alongside former World Heavyweight Champion, Dave Bautista, in The Killer's Game. However, The Scottish Warrior isn't afraid to try new ventures while working for WWE.
In an interview with Chris Van Vliet, the two-time WWE Champion and former World Heavyweight Champion addressed the possibility of featuring in more acting projects. The 39-year-old star stated he always wanted to be a wrestler, but would be open to pursuing new opportunities in acting if they came up.
"We’ll see. It's just a fun journey as far as I'm concerned. All I ever wanted to be was a wrestler since I was five years old. Very lucky to get signed straight from university. Have the journey I've had, and if the right opportunity comes up, like the character, you saw it yourself, it wasn't big bruiser number three, just standing being big and angry. I was like, I'm not gonna do that. Like, thankfully, wrestling provided a living where I can pick and choose what I want to do and I want to wrestle. But I was like, this looks fun, and it was fun. So something comes up like that, I'm gonna do it," McIntyre said. (H/T CVV)

Drew McIntyre details how 6-time WWE Champion offered him a role
Drew McIntyre had a rollercoaster of a year as he signed a new deal with the Stamford-based promotion and got his moment in front of the fans in Philadelphia at The Grandest Stage of Them All.
However, it's been a rocky road for The Scottish Warrior since then, as he's been feuding with CM Punk, who cost him major moments in the past few months. Luckily, the grass is greener for Drew McIntyre outside the company.
In an interview with Irish Wrestling & Entertainment, the 39-year-old star explained how Dave Bautista offered him a role in The Killer's Game, as McIntyre fit the part to perfection, according to The Animal.
The film is set to be released worldwide in September 2024.
