"I'm a lucky man" - Cody Rhodes reacts to major milestone ahead of WWE RAW

Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes has reacted to a major milestone ahead of tonight's edition of RAW. The American Nightmare will be putting his title on the line against Logan Paul at King and Queen of the Ring PLE this Saturday in Saudi Arabia.

Rhodes took to social media ahead of tonight's show to react to the news that he is a top 10-selling athlete on Fanatics. WWE and Fanatics have recently partnered, and Rhodes noted that his name being among the top sellers is a positive indicator of where the wrestling business stands today.

"I’m a lucky man. To be the first wrestler ever to hit this list since our partnership, fills my heart up! Seeing names like MJ in the same scroll as you is quite beautiful and a sign of where rasslin’ is at today! ♥️," he wrote.

Cody Rhodes has been a fighting champion and graciously put his title on the line when SmackDown GM Nick Aldis announced that his next challenger was going to be the United States Champion, Logan Paul. The Maverick however was not as gracious and refused to put his own title on the line, thus denying Rhodes the chance to become a WWE Grand Slam Champion on 25 May.

Bill Apter comments on Cody Rhodes vs. Logan Paul at WWE King and Queen of the Ring

Legendary wrestling journalist Bill Apter has shared his thoughts on the Undisputed WWE Championship match between Cody Rhodes and Logan Paul set for this Saturday night.

Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's The Wrestling Time Machine podcast with Teddy Long and Mac Davis, Bill Apter praised Logan Paul as a performer ahead of the title match. He predicted that there could be some kind of controversy at the premium live event to keep their rivalry going in the weeks ahead.

"I can see some sort of controversy coming out of this where may be both belts are held up or something. Some sort of huge controversy to keep that going, because in terms of ring, young Logan Paul has already, he's like a veteran in the ring. He knows what he is doing, doesn't have to think about it. It all comes naturally. Cody is the same way. So this is gonna be a real magnificient match," said Apter. [From 01:15 onwards]

Cody Rhodes wanted Logan Paul's United States Championship to be on the line in the match but The Maverick had his lawyer draw up a new contract this past Friday night on SmackDown. Rhodes agreed to the match and only his Undisputed WWE Championship will be defended at King and Queen of the Ring.
