"I'm doing a match with you guys" - Popular celebrity told Triple H he wants to compete in WWE
Triple H has revealed that a mainstream superstar informed him about his interest in having a match in WWE. Jelly Roll said he lost weight and is looking forward to stepping inside the squared circle.
The award-winning musician appeared at SummerSlam several months ago. He did a live concert during the show and also got physical as he chokeslammed Austin Theory in the ring. Many celebrities have competed in WWE, and he wants to be one of them.
Speaking to Deadline at the Netflix Headquarters media event, Triple H said that Jelly Roll has been vocal about having a match and that the latter wants to lose 100 lbs after he already lost 120 lbs.
“I just saw Jelly Roll the other day and he’s still raving about wrestling. Every time I see him he says the same thing, ‘I got another 100 pounds to go, baby, and I’m doing a match with you guys,” said HHH.
Triple H comments on Drew McIntyre's return to WWE
The Scottish Warrior made a surprise return to WWE on RAW this week. He took out Sami Zayn in the ring and is believed to be the one who attacked Jey Uso backstage.
In a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Triple H spoke about Drew McIntyre's return. He said the latter wasn't injured and was dying to return.
"He was dying to come back. He wasn't hurt, he wasn't injured. Let's just give you a little breather here for a second. And whether that's spending some time at home enjoying your family, whatever that is, or whether that's, hey, I have this other project I wanna work on. I have this project that Netflix has come up with, I'm gonna work on that. Whatever. Us having that ability to morph and shift things around and keep things fresh, I think is a tremendous opportunity for us."
Drew McIntyre's last match was against CM Punk at WWE Bad Blood. It'll be interesting to see when his next match will be.
