"I'm sorry" - Booker T would lose shoot fight against WWE Hall of Famer, says Vince Russo (Exclusive)

These days, Booker T can be found at his energetic best as a commentator on WWE NXT but during his prime, the former WCW World Champion was a highly intimidating wrestler. When asked who'd win a shoot fight between Booker T. and Stevie Ray, Vince Russo picked the older brother.

Known as the Harlem Heat, Booker T and Stevie Ray became one of the most prolific tag teams in World Championship Wrestling history, winning the WCW World Tag Team Championship ten times during their legendary run in the company.

The duo were deservedly also inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2019, with Booker T securing his second HOF ring in the process. The Harlem Heat's resume is ample proof that they were incredibly destructive in the WCW and legitimately amongst the toughest performers during a time when the promotion boasted of a great roster.

During Legion of RAW show, Vince Russo was asked who'd prevail in a real fight between Booker T and Stevie Ray. The former writer seemingly didn't hesitate to choose the 66-year-old Stevie over Booker T, who is currently 59 years old.

Russo explained:

"Oh, bro, you've got to give it to the older brother. The younger brother ain't going to whoop the older brother, I'm sorry. I'm sorry, I'm going with my boy Stevie." [From 54:30 onwards]

As noted above, Booker T. continues to be an active member of the current WWE setup as a member of NXT's broadcast team.
