"I'm telling ya'll" - Corey Graves singles out 310-lb WWE star following Money In the Bank
WWE NXT Heatwave is currently underway in Toronto. One NXT Superstar has received immense praise in recent months, and that has continued with today's premium live event. A veteran star just publicly offered a stamp of approval on the rising champion. This was Corey Graves, who was last seen on commentating duties at Money in the Bank on Saturday night.
The Heatwave main card opened up with Oba Femi retaining the NXT North American Championship over Wes Lee in a Last Chance match. Per the stipulation, Lee can no longer challenge for the title as long as Femi is champion. The 16-minute match included dueling chants and several big spots, but ended with Femi hitting his Fall From Grace finisher for the pin.
The Ruler of All Things NXT received strong props from the WWE Universe after tonight's title match, including remarks from Graves. The veteran commentator needed just a few words to get his point across.
"I'm telling ya'll... Oba. #NXTHeatwave," Corey Graves wrote.
Femi has not publicly responded to Graves as of this writing. Tonight marked the 7th title defense for the 26-year-old, since dethroning Dragon Lee on January 9. Oba has successfully retained over Lee in their rematch, Lexis King, Brooks Jensen, Dijak and Josh Briggs in a Triple Threat, Ivar, Lee and Joe Coffey in a Triple Threat, and now Lee again.
