"I don't need your respect" - LA Knight drops massive tease following WWE SmackDown

Reigning United States Champion LA Knight recently teased a potential big match following WWE SmackDown. Knight responded to Andrade's comments about him on X (fka Twitter) after encountering problems last Friday.

Andrade faced off against rival Carmelo Hayes in last week's episode of SmackDown. Hayes attacked Knight before the match, so the U.S. Champ tried to interfere toward the end. But instead of helping El Idolo get the win, it allowed Melo to steal the victory.

The Megastar and Andrade bickered after the match, with the latter sending Knight a message on X. Knight had no choice but to respond to the threat, while teasing a potential Triple Threat match involving Hayes and Andrade.

"Don't blame me because you couldn't get the job done… I don't need your respect, but I need you two to finish your business so I can give you both a BFT and move on…YEAH," Knight tweeted.

LA Knight has already defended his United States Championship against Andrade and with Carmelo Hayes' win last Friday, he could be in line for a title shot. Knight also wants revenge on Hayes after getting attacked backstage.

With Knight hinting at both Andrade and Hayes getting a BFT, there's a potential Triple Threat match on the horizon. El Idolo and Melo already hate each other and the U.S. Champ is seemingly looking for a fight.

LA Knight explains his intensity as United States Champion

During an interview with DISH Studio last week, LA Knight was asked about the backstage reaction to his first reign as United States Champion. Knight explained that some people are baffled at why he still delivers his promos with more intensity despite being a babyface.

"I'll go in and I'll come out, my music will play, I'll come out to the ring, I'll say my piece, and in the back, people will be like, 'Why do you come off so angry? You're the champion. What's going on?' I'm like, 'I don't know.' There's something about it, when I get here and I think about this and I think about everything that I've gone through to get here and I think about everything I need to continue to do to keep this going, there's just this fight mode that comes in, and I get in almost this angry state of mind, where I show up and I’ve got that game face on," Knight said. LA Knight defeated Logan Paul at WWE SummerSlam to win the United States Championship. Knight has already defended his title three times against Santos Escobar, Ludwig Kaiser and Andrade.
