"I would say yes" - Goldberg being set up to face record-breaking WWE champion, feels veteran, is a viable WrestleMania match (Exclusive)

WWE legend Goldberg recently made it clear that he would have his retirement match in 2025, creating a buzz in the pro wrestling industry. According to a veteran, one particular star could be a good match for him even if it took place at WrestleMania. This was the former WWE Head Writer Vince Russo.

Da Man is seemingly all set to hang his boots next year, with him confirming that he had been in talks with WWE regarding the same. Considering his last appearance on the Stamford-based promotion had him getting into conflict with Gunther, many are expecting the two to be the participants in the final match.

On Sportskeeda's Writing with Russo, Vince Russo was asked whether it would be a good idea to pit the two against each other for WrestleMania. Russo stated:

"You know, bro, I think Goldberg still draws, man. I think he could still draw. So, on drawing power alone, I would say yes." [2:10 onwards]

Gunther has also talked about a possible match with the WWE legend

The Ring General is apparently not very intimidated by Goldberg despite the possibility of an intense match with him.

Speaking in an interview with La Previa, Gunther talked about an interaction he had backstage with Goldberg. He stated that if push comes to shove, he would be happy to take down the legend.

''He [Goldberg] doesn't seem able to take things lightly. I tried to lighten up the mood a little bit. If push comes to shove, and he thinks he wants to get back into the business and wrestle again, then I'm happy to teach him a lesson!'' [H/T - POST Wrestling]

As of now, it remains to be seen whether the two stars will face each other in WWE sometime in the future.
