"I don't think it will happen in November" - Legend predicts massive Roman Reigns match for 2025 (Exclusive)

Roman Reigns' recent absence might be frustrating to some, but the Original Tribal Chief is expected to have some huge matches when he's back on TV more regularly. However, according to wrestling veteran Bill Apter, a long-awaited clash against The Rock might have to wait until 2025.

Roman returned at SummerSlam 2024 to stop Solo Sikoa from becoming the Undisputed WWE Champion and to set the record straight that he was the Original Tribal Chief (OTC).

The former Universal Champion has not been on TV since being laid out by the Solo Sikoa-led Bloodline on the blue brand last month. However, there are rumors that Reigns could return on the Season Premiere of SmackDown on the USA Network next week. While a showdown with Solo Sikoa might come first, an eventual clash against The Rock can never be ignored.

The mega match was brought up once again on the latest Smack Talk episode, and Bill Apter didn't foresee the clash happening anytime before 2025. The Final Boss could be the heel against a babyface Roman Reigns when they meet inside the ring again, but the clash might not happen this year.

WWE is set to have a high-profile PLE in Saudi Arabia in November 2024, but Bill Apter felt Roman Reigns vs. The Rock, if it were to happen, could feature during the Royal Rumble season or after that.

"I would hope that we would see that no later than January, maybe Royal Rumble time. That's my answer. I don't think it will happen in November," he said. [From 41:00 onwards]

WWE's real business picks up during the Royal Rumble season, and Roman Reigns will inarguably be at the center of Triple H's creative plans. Would they also involve Dwayne Johnson? Only time will tell!
