"I was told it may require time off" - Former WWE champion reacts to The Rock's major injury

A former WWE champion recently took to social media to react after The Rock revealed that he suffered a major injury while working for his upcoming movie, The Smashing Machine. The name in question is former NXT Champion Karrion Kross.

After delivering one of the biggest storylines in the history of World Wrestling Entertainment leading up to WrestleMania XL, The Brahma Bull went on a hiatus from television due to his commitments in Hollywood. Since then, The Great One has uploaded several videos on social media, showcasing his training schedule for his upcoming movie, The Smashing Machine.

However, The Rock recently took to Instagram to reveal that he suffered a brutal injury to his elbow as he ruptured his bursa sac.

Karrion Kross later reacted to The Final Boss' injury on his official X/Twitter handle. He shared a story of his elbow injury which he suffered during his time in the developmental brand.

The Final Testament member said that he suffered the injury after Johnny Gargano hit him with the NXT Championship.

"Just saw a video The Rock posted of his elbow & reminded me of this. Doing cardio now after training and decided to share. Enjoy. The story here is when I was @WWENXT Champion, [Johnny] Gargano jumped me with Theory- JG smashed me in the face along with my elbow with my own championship," Karrion Kross shared.

The RAW Superstar added that he was told he might require some time off from in-ring action but he drained it immediately and wrestled on the next show.

"I was told it may require time off. Looked it up, saw an option to drain it immediately and had that done before I even left the building. Hit the gym the next day and worked the following show. Never mentioned a word about it. Crazy things happen all the time in our business. Gotta roll with it- and ALWAYS have to want it more than what your setbacks bring you. I have tons of stories (and crazy videos) like this from over the years. Love it all," Karrion Kross shared.
