LA Knight comments on The Wyatt Sicks in WWE
Late WWE Superstar Bray Wyatt lives in the minds of wrestling fans today owing to his exceptional ability to captivate. The master storyteller left behind a lot of characters from his 2019 incarnation as the host of a children's show, in which his alter-ego was the monster known as The Fiend.
LA Knight wound up fatefully being the former Universal Champion's final opponent in WWE. He was recently asked to comment on The Wyatt Sicks, a faction led by Wyatt's brother Bo Dallas (Uncle Howdy) in loving memory of the late legend.
Speaking on the Battleground Podcast, Knight brought up how people were skeptical about this new rendition which pays tribute to Bray Wyatt's legacy. The Megastar then pointed to how things are going well for them on RAW.
"It seems like in the absence of Bray, I think a lot of people would expect, 'Ah man, maybe this is kind of an odd move. Is this gonna have legs to it?' And it seems like so far, so good. It's got some pretty good legs from what we could see."
WWE booked LA Knight against Bray Wyatt at Royal Rumble 2023 in a Pitch Black match, the first of its kind. The Eater of Worlds went on to win his final in-ring contest before his passing in August 2023. Interestingly, Uncle Howdy was an ominous presence throughout their feud, even in the match.
The late WWE Superstar's bittersweet message from many years ago
In 2015, Bray Wyatt faced WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker, someone he was often compared to, at WrestleMania 31. He clarified from his end, though, that he is not trying to be another Deadman.
Instead, he would rather be his own authentic version. As for what he wished for somebody else someday, he believed that there should come a time when his legacy proved useful to them:
"I want one day for a young guy to find out that he is gonna be wrestling Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania, and I want everyone in the room to come and congratulate him."
On the August 25, 2023, Bray Wyatt tribute show WWE hosted on SmackDown, LA Knight headlined against another rival of the former Universal Champion, Finn Bálor. More importantly, The Megastar gave a beautiful tribute to the fallen comrade.
