Injured star steals title ahead of WWE Draft; sends message to champion
An injured WWE Superstar has stolen a title ahead of the Draft tonight at the Heritage Bank Center. The WWE Draft will air tonight during SmackDown and next Monday night during RAW.
NXT's Cora Jade has been out with a torn ACL since January but is ready for the WWE Draft tonight. She shared a humorous video of herself stealing Perez' NXT Women's Championship and shared it on her Instagram story.
However, Perez quickly realized that Jade had stolen her title and ripped it away from her. Jade took to her Instagram story again and quoted Bayley. She claimed people should respect the injured. You can check out her story here.
Roxanne Perez is the reigning NXT Women's Champion and captured the title by defeating Lyra Valkyria at Stand & Deliver during WrestleMania XL weekend. She successfully defended the title against Lyra Valkyria and Tatum Paxley in a Triple Threat match at NXT Spring Breakin' this past Tuesday night.
Roxanne Perez shares that she wants to headline WWE WrestleMania against Cora Jade
NXT Women's Champion Roxanne Perez has disclosed that she hopes to get the chance to wrestle Cora Jade for many years to come.
Speaking with Sportskeeda Wrestling's Riju Dasgupta last July in an exclusive interview, Perez claimed that all wrestling fans should be tuning in to watch NXT because they are the future of the company. The 22-year-old added that she wants to wrestle Cora Jade in the main event of a future WrestleMania event as well.
"I would love to wrestle Cora Jade for years and years. One day, I truly feel we are going to be headlining WrestleMania. So yeah, I think we truly are the future, and this is why everybody should be watching NXT because we are the stars of tomorrow," she said. [From 19:55 - 20:11]
