Injured star teases return ahead of major WWE event
An absent WWE Superstar shared an interesting update 199 days since their last match. The star in question suffered the injury during a match against former NXT Women's Champion, Lyra Valkyria, at a WWE live event earlier this year.
Cora Jade has been out of action since she tore her ACL on January 12. The 23-year-old is a former NXT Women's Tag Team Champion with Roxanne Perez. She took to her Instagram story ahead of NXT Great American Bash this week to share an image of herself in the corner of a wrestling ring wearing a knee brace.

Cora Jade and Roxanne Perez have humorously referred to CM Punk as their "wrestling dad" in recent posts on social media. CM Punk has also been out of action since January but it was announced last Monday night on RAW that he is cleared to return and will be facing Drew McIntyre this weekend at SummerSlam.
Popular WWE star wants to headline WrestleMania with Cora Jade
NXT Women's Champion Roxanne Perez believes she and Cora Jade could headline a WWE WrestleMania someday.
In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling's Riju Dasgupta, Perez said that she would love to wrestle Jade for many years to come. She also predicted they would headline a future WrestleMania and noted that fans should be watching NXT to get a sneak peek of the future.
"I would love to wrestle Cora Jade for years and years. One day, I truly feel we are going to be headlining WrestleMania. So, yeah, we are the future, and this is why everybody should be watching NXT because we are the stars of tomorrow," said Roxanne Perez. [19:55 - 20:11]

Cora Jade signed with WWE in 2021 and has a bright future in the company. She betrayed Roxanne Perez while the duo were NXT Women's Tag Team Champions. It will be fascinating to see when Jade can return to action and what the promotion has planned for the popular star moving forward.
