Injured WWE star pushes for match against Bloodline member
An injured WWE Superstar called out a Bloodline member for a match today on social media. Roman Reigns returned at WWE SummerSlam and is currently in a rivalry with his former faction on SmackDown.
Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga won the WWE Tag Team Championship recently on the blue brand and will be defending the titles against The Street Profits this Friday night. Fatu returned from a brief hiatus due to injury on this past Friday's show and attacked Roman Reigns.
Ivar has been out of action since his match against Oba Femi for the North American Championship on the April 30 edition of NXT. He is out with an injury but has remained active on social media. The veteran took to his X account today to react to a fan suggesting The Viking Raiders dethrone the faction as champions.
Ivar also reposted a fan's message claiming he should battle Jacob Fatu in a singles match as well.
Paul Heyman praises The Bloodline amid WWE hiatus
Hall of Famer Paul Heyman broke character to praise The Bloodline during his hiatus from the company.
The Wiseman has not been seen since the June 28 edition of WWE SmackDown. He refused to acknowledge Solo Sikoa as his new Tribal Chief, and the faction responded by Powerbombing him through a table. In an interview with Sam Roberts at Fanatics Fest, Heyman spoke highly of the new version of The Bloodline and noted that they were a threat to Roman Reigns.
“I could not imagine someone coming in in this era and saying, ‘Yeah, I’ve seen enough of The Bloodline. I don’t even think we’re in the third inning yet and now that you see the emergence of Solo and Jacob Fatu and the Tongans and the fact that they are a real threat, the first time a real threat to Roman Reigns's dominance. How many stories can we tell from the position that we’re in now," said Heyman. [H/T: WrestlePurists]
Triple H has referred to Jacob Fatu as a "game changer" for the company. It will be interesting to see if Ivar gets the chance to square off against the former MLW star when he returns to action down the line.
