Injured WWE Superstar replaced on RAW; huge match changed
An injured top WWE star had to be replaced on this week's episode of RAW. Instead, another talent wrestled in the match, changing the original plans.
Heading into RAW, Kairi Sane was supposed to face Bianca Belair in this week's show. However, last week, she accidentally went too far during a dive to the outside and hit her face against the commentary table. This led to her getting quite injured, with her eye getting bloodied and reddened. She was said to be fine, but things changed at the last minute ahead of her this week's match against Belair on Adam Pearce's show.
IYO SKY stepped in and told Belair she was a coward to face Sane this week while recovering from her injury. Belair said that since SKY was so concerned, she could replace Sane in the match and step into her place.
SKY didn't hesitate, agreeing immediately. The two wrestled throughout the night, and IYO won.
Given Belair and Jade Cargill's status, having pinned her, she has likely earned Damage CTRL a shot at the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship, something the team has been after for quite some time.
