"Instrumental" - Top WWE name breaks character to praise Dominik Mysterio
Dominik Mysterio has been on a roll since he joined The Judgment Day on WWE RAW. Meanwhile, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis spoke highly of the third-generation star and broke character to praise him.
In 2022, Dominik Mysterio turned heel in his career for the first time and joined The Judgment Day. The third-generation WWE star often garners loud negative reactions from the crowd and crosses paths with top names in the Stamford-based promotion.
In an interview with Chris Van Vliet, Nick Aldis broke character and spoke highly of Dirty Dom. He said the third-generation star was instrumental in his debut as the two were in a segment that introduced the WWE Universe to Nick Aldis on Friday Night SmackDown.
"I love working with Dom. Also, shout out to Dom, because he was so instrumental in my introduction as a character. I always make this point, I was introduced on WWE television in a Triple H in-ring segment," Aldis said. [H/T - CVV]

What happened when Dominik Mysterio confronted Nick Aldis on WWE SmackDown?
Last year, Triple H appointed new and permanent authority figures on both brands as things were spiraling out of control and Adam Pearce couldn't manage both. Pearce became the new General Manager of Monday Night RAW.
In the same segment, Nick Aldis was introduced to the WWE Universe and became the SmackDown General Manager. However, he was interrupted by The Judgment Day's Dominik Mysterio.
The three authority figures mocked the third-generation star for interrupting them and exchanged a few words. Unfortunately, it turned ugly for the former North American Champion before the end of the segment.
In September 2023, Jey Uso left Friday Night SmackDown and moved to Monday Night RAW. This meant a superstar from the red brand would head to the blue brand in the coming weeks.
The surprise draft was none other than Kevin Owens, who entered the ring and hit Dom with a Stunner. Later, Aldis raised Owens' hand to close the segment.
