"It is dead" - WWE veteran says wrestling is dead after shocking ending to RAW (Exclusive)

WWE RAW this week ended on a massive cliffhanger. After weeks of hints, the mysterious group led by Uncle Howdy finally showed up to end the show. The group created in the spirit of late star Bray Wyatt destroyed WWE staff and management during their RAW appearance. Vince Russo, however, feels that the storyline won't translate in the wrestling ring.

Potentially consisting of Nikki Cross, Joe Gacy, Dexter Lumis, and Erick Rowan and led by Wyatt's brother Bo Dallas as the mysterious Uncle Howdy, the group promises to bring a supernatural element back to the company's flagship show.

Discussing the potential of the storyline on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW podcast, Russo used the example of the Viking Raiders to explain why he doesn't think the new storyline will translate well in the ring.

"We can go back to the Vikings. Okay, like bro the whole idea was these guys lived.. these guys actualy lived a Viking lifestyle and they had no idea what to do with them. Living the Viking lifestyle bro, they should have lived outdoors, lived on the earth and they should have won... you know." [43:19-43:40]

He further told his co-host Dr. Chris that wrestling is dead and that's why acts like Uncle Howdy and Viking Raiders will fail in WWE.

"You're going to put titles on them whatever, bro you want there to be a match for the titles? They gotta go to them. You gotta climb the mountain. That's how this stuff has to work because the problem is once you put it in a wrestling ring, it's wrestling and it's dead bro. It is dead." [43:41-44:05]

It will be interesting to see what the direction will be Wyatt Sicks.
