"It's a business with Logan Paul" - Resident WWE megastar 'an athlete at heart', says legend
A long-time wrestling personality recently praised Logan Paul amid his beef with WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash. Dutch Mantell, famously known as Zeb Colter, is very impressed with Paul's progress inside the squared circle and how he does his business in pro wrestling.
The Maverick was called out by Nash for not knowing wrestling terms and told him that he was not one of the boys in the locker room. The former United States Champion responded by roasting the legend and calling him "bitter" and "pathetic."
During the latest episode of Story Time with Dutch Mantell, one of the topics discussed was the Paul-Nash feud. Mantell thought that Big Daddy Cool was jealous of the social media star's success and praised The Maverick for his progress.
"I'm amazed at how much Logan Paul has learned [in] this what two years or three. (…) How much he's learned but you can tell that he is an athlete at heart. When he did that dive off the top turnbuckle to that table, I'm thinking, 'Wow, I wouldn't even think about doing that' and I've been in the business for how long I was in. I would never do that but he's making money and [Kevin Nash] is not. It's a business with Logan Paul," Mantell said. [3:42 - 4:20]
Logan Paul has only been wrestling for over two years but has already been in many high-profile matches. Paul has only had 15 bouts to this date and has faced WWE Superstars, such as The Miz, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Ricochet, Kevin Owens, Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, and LA Knight.
Dutch Mantell claims WWE is now an international company
On the same episode of Story Time with Dutch Mantell, the former WWE manager discussed the company's growth since Endeavor became the new owner. Mantell believed that World Wrestling Entertainment was now an international company due to its global appeal and the success of its premium live events abroad.
"Everything's changed since 25 years or whatever. Just from two years ago, the ownership has changed the outlook has changed, the TV outlook has changed, everything else now they're more of an international company than they've ever been. They did shows in France, they did it in the UK and Australia, Germany and [Scotland] and so they're an international company," Mantell said. [10:38 - 11:10 in the video above]
It's no secret that WWE aims to become a global brand moving forward. They even teased having WrestleMania in London, but there's nothing concrete yet. The premium live events abroad have been a success for the company, and it's not surprising if they want to do more in the future.
