WWE SmackDown saw two top stars return

Triple H came out to the middle to usher in a new era for SmackDown. The steel cage lowered as fans prepared for the WWE Undisputed Championship match between Solo Sikoa and Cody Rhodes.

After The American Nightmare retained his title, The Bloodline showed up to beat him down. Just as it looked like Cody Rhodes would be injured by the heels, Roman Reigns made his return to the blue brand for a huge segment.

Meanwhile, Kevin Owens was left high and dry for a tag team match against A-Town Down Under after his partner couldn’t make it to the show. However, Randy Orton made it to the venue just in time to spoil the part for Owens’ makeshift partner, Ricky.

The Viper and The Prizefighter scored the win over the heel team after a good match. It was an overall good show that helped get SmackDown started on the right foot.
