"It's just terrible" – Ex-WWE star blasts Seth Rollins after RAW segment
Seth Rollins has feuded with Bronson Reed in recent weeks on WWE RAW. Stevie Richards, a WWE wrestler between 1999 and 2008, believes the brawl between the two men on October 28 could have been better.
Rollins attacked Reed with a flurry of punches in the parking lot before stomping his rival's head onto a car hood. The Australian quickly recovered and exacted revenge moments later by slamming Rollins through an equipment table.
On The Stevie Richards Show, Richards made it clear he disliked Rollins' frenetic style of punches at the start of the altercation:
"They're not even touching him. You see that? It's just terrible. It's awful for somebody on this level, this place on the card, getting paid that much money. It's no excuse." [3:24 – 3:38]
Rollins defeated Reed at Crown Jewel on November 2 after hitting him with several Stomps, including one from the top rope.
Stevie Richards explains what Bronson Reed and Seth Rollins should have done
According to Stevie Richards, the parking lot confrontation should have begun with Seth Rollins hitting Bronson Reed with regular punches after avoiding a clothesline.
Richards added that Rollins focused on quantity over quality, making the fight look unrealistic:
"He's doing what Kevin Nash calls egg-beaters. In other words, you misinterpret viciousness and aggression with hitting somebody more, hitting somebody more. You've seen those punches that are just like, 'What's next? What's next? What's next?' You're not focusing on that. In other words, he would have been good to do the standard duck Bronson Reed's clothesline and then just start lighting him up, one [punch], two [another punch]." [1:32 – 1:58]
Richards also recently told a story about an AEW star who failed to adapt in WWE and had to change outside the locker room.
