"It’s never an easy decision" - Current World Champion comments on not jumping ship to WWE

Triple H's regime at WWE is fostering a more collaborative environment in wrestling. This is evident in the increasing number of inter-promotional appearances, where wrestlers from different companies are allowed to compete in the same ring and vice versa.

Recently, the current TNA World Champion Moose shared his two cents on why he decided to stick with the Nashville-based company instead of World Wrestling Entertainment back in 2023.

The 40-year-old champion has long considered joining WWE several times in the past under Vince McMahon's regime. However, last year he faced a tough decision but ultimately chose to remain with TNA instead of leaving for the sports entertainment giant.

During an interview with Metro UK, Moose admitted he always eyed working for the Stamford-based promotion. However, TNA Wrestling made him an offer he couldn't refuse, and he still has goals to achieve there.

"It’s never an easy decision. Let’s be honest, WWE is a place I always wanted to work for. But TNA gave me an offer I couldn’t resist… and plus I had some things that I had some goals I had set for myself that I haven’t accomplished yet in TNA," said Moose. (H/T: Metro UK)

Moose would love to wrestle WWE RAW stars in the future

Following the NXT and TNA crossover, The System member wants to wrestle two superstars from the Monday Night RAW roster down the line.

Speaking on K&S Wrestlefest, Moose expressed his desire to compete against Bron Breakker and Gunther inside the squared circle.

"That’s actually two guys that I would love to wrestle, especially Bron Breakker. We have similar backgrounds. We were both football players, and now we’re doing the thing we love in pro wrestling. Gunther is a guy that, when he was in the indies, we never touched, which was very surprising because that was a lot of people’s dream match," he said.

At the upcoming Slammiversary pay-per-view on July 20, Moose will put his TNA World Title on the line against Joe Hendry, Frankie Kazarian, Josh Alexander, Steve Maclin, and Nic Nemeth in a six-way elimination match. It remains to be seen if the 40-year-old star will ever defend his championship in WWE.
