"It's all rushing back to me" - Bully Ray "floored" by heartbreaking Drew McIntyre comments; couldn't ask major CM Punk question
Drew McIntyre has been making headlines around the world with his surprising return on WWE RAW a couple of weeks ago. The Scottish Warrior had been out of action since his match against CM Punk at WWE Bad Blood, giving him a well-deserved break.
In a recent appearance on Busted Open Radio's Holiday Party, Drew McIntyre addressed his two-month hiatus. He stated that the break opened his eyes and gave him some heartwarming time with his friends and family at home. The Scottish Warrior then stormed out of the studio, leaving everyone shocked, stating that he didn't care about anyone's opinions moving forward.
Addressing the moment that left everyone surprised, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray stated that he was 'floored' by the incident. Not only that, but the veteran also stated that he had a big question involving CM Punk, which he couldn't ask after McIntyre left.
"I had something that I wanted to ask him about, but as he was talking about, you know, missing birthdays and families and the death of his mom, it's all rushing back to me... I'm floored. I'm floored. I wanted to know, like, to win that award—Best Talker—beating out CM Punk, the guy that lit the fire under his ass, and then to defeat him for the best? Like, I was really interested to see what he had to say," said Bully Ray. [1:09:41 onwards]
Drew McIntyre stated he made a 'mistake' with his hard work in the industry
During his appearance on the Holiday Party, Drew McIntyre addressed how his hard work in the industry was neglected, stating that all he had done was 'give' to the industry but never got what he deserved.
Further, the former World Champion stated that he made a mistake with that. He also added that throughout his hiatus, only a few people called him to ask about his condition, which opened his eyes.
"I've missed weddings, birthdays, and some funerals I should have been at—just for this industry. When my mom passed, I went home for a couple of weeks and was straight back at work...I realized I might have made a mistake. I've given and given and given and given to this industry, and it's taken and taken and taken from my real family....I can count on pretty much one finger how many people checked in, like, 'How you doing, Drew?' And it really opened my eyes," stated McIntyre. [1:05:17 onwards]
While Drew McIntyre's comments have left the world talking, many in the WWE Universe expect the star to address the issue sometime in the future. Time will tell what McIntyre has in mind heading into the new year.
