"It sounds like he needs to step away" - Legendary former WWE Champion "might be done" with the company, believes Bully Ray

With WWE Saturday Night's Main Event officially in the books, a number of superstars would be happy to leave New York with a massive win. One name who left the show happily was Drew McIntyre, who defeated Sami Zayn in the show's opening match. The three-time world champion has been on a path to take down every star who got involved with Roman Reigns lately.

While McIntyre left the arena happy, he stormed out of a recent non-WWE appearance after dropping some heartbreaking comments that made headlines worldwide. The former WWE Champion felt like he was not getting what he deserved in the industry, which left many fans concerned about his future in the company.

In a recent episode of the Busted Open Podcast, Bully Ray addressed McIntyre's future and stated that the star 'might be done' with the company. The legend also suggested that McIntyre take some time off from the industry to clear his mind.

“Sure, he might be done. As a human being, I would probably tell him to take some time. It sounds like he needs to step away from this business for a little while. Whatever it takes—go take a couple of days for yourself, take a week, or take a month,” said the Hall of Famer. [24:36 onwards]

What's next for Drew McIntyre in WWE?

Drew McIntyre has some massive targets in line after his recent win against Sami Zayn. The Scottish Warrior, in a post on social media, stated that he had four more targets on his radar, after his massive victory at Saturday Night's Main Event.

In a recent edition of SmackDown, the star took out Jimmy Uso with a claymore kick, teasing his next feud. Time will tell what the Stamford-based company has in store for the 39-year-old next.
