"It was taken from me" - Current star makes major accusation at WWE; takes shot at Gunther
A WWE star has taken a major shot at the company and Gunther. This came out as an accusation.
Back in 2021, Xavier Woods was the last star to win the King of the Ring tournament before Gunther became the holder of the crown earlier this year. He was originally announced for the King of the Ring tournament. However, by the time the contest came around, he was replaced by Kofi Kingston.
This was after Gunther and he wrestled before the tournament, and he was left hurt. Kingston filled in and did his best, defeating Rey Mysterio in the first round, but eventually, he lost to The Ring General and didn't advance to the final.
When a fan posted a GIF of holding up a crown for Xavier and said he had dropped it, Woods replied that he had not dropped it - it had been taken from him. He was referring to his King of the Ring crown since he was never part of the second tournament when he had been the last one to hold the crown.
This was a shot at both WWE and Gunther since he was never given a chance to go after the crown, and the star was the one to hurt him.
"Thank you, but I didn't drop it. It was taken from me," he wrote.
Xavier Woods may be hinting at a future feud with Gunther in WWE
While the last time he wrestled the World Champion, it didn't go well for him, Woods has been very bitter recently, and it appears that he is hinting at a future feud with the Ring General.
The star has been on a quest to get a better position within WWE, but things have not been going well for him.
With a lot of tension within the New Day itself, Woods seems to be gearing up for a heel turn. Should it happen, going after the Ring General for the World title does not seem completely out of the question.
It remains to be seen how things play out.
