Ivar receives major endorsement from former WWE star for new backstage role

The War Raiders are the new WWE World Tag Team Champions. After a roller-coaster year, Erik and Ivar dethroned JD McDonagh and Finn Balor, despite interference. Amid major changes involving The War Raiders, Ivar just received a strong endorsement on retirement plans for when he hangs up the boots.

WarBeard is a protégé of WWE Hall of Famer Killer Kowalski. With almost twenty-four years in the industry, Ivar has found success around the world and has teamed with Erik for seven years. The 2014 ROH Top Prospect recently revealed a one-of-a-kind role he now has with World Wrestling Entertainment. Ivar used to serve as a head coach at Chaotic Wrestling's training facility in Massachusetts several years back and helped train names like Donovan Dijak, Mercedes Moné fka Sasha Banks, Kofi Kingston, and Tommaso Ciampa, among others. In responding to a clip from Ivar's interview, Dijak took to X to offer his thoughts on the veteran grappler's work as a trainer.

"Can confirm @Ivar_WWEis an excellent trainer," Dijak wrote.

Ivar and Dijak have teamed up and faced off several times since 2014. Their last singles bouts came at NEW events in 2016 and 2017, where Ivar retained the NEW Heavyweight Championship.
