IYO SKY breaks character; makes blockbuster WWE tease

WWE RAW Superstar IYO SKY had an amazing time performing in front of her home fans in Japan. She broke character in gratitude and laid out a massive tease regarding her future.

After a long time, WWE returned to Japan to host several house shows in Osaka and Tokyo. IYO SKY and other Japanese stars like Shinsuke Nakamura and Asuka received huge ovations from the crowd. After returning to the United States of America, The Genius of the Sky shared a post on X/Twitter to thank fans, breaking character in the process.

The former WWE Women's Champion expressed that she was happy to receive cheers from fans in Japan. She teased she would soon be back on television stating she would continue to spread wings across the sea. Here's her tweet, translated into English:

"Five consecutive matches in three days! Then off to America right away. After six years, I was able to play six games in Japan this July. I was really happy to receive so much energy from everyone's cheers. We will continue to spread our wings across the ocean. See you soon #WWETokyo #WWEOsaka #WWEJAPAN #IYOSKY"

The Damage CTRL member last competed in a televised match on the July 8, 2024, episode of WWE RAW. Hopefully, she will be back soon to start a major on-screen rivalry.

IYO SKY picked up a win against prominent WWE Superstars in Japan

IYO SKY has continued as a singles and tag team competitor since losing the WWE Women's Championship to Bayley at WrestleMania XL. She challenged Liv Morgan for the Women's World Championship twice in Japan but to no avail. Thankfully, she emerged victorious against some top stars during the house show in Tokyo on July 27, 2024.

During the show, IYO SKY teamed up with fellow Damage CTRL member Dakota Kai to battle the dominant tag team of Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill. While Jade and Bianca have been portrayed as an impressive team, SKY and Kai were able to pick up the victory, sending waves of happiness through the crowd.

After the victory, things will likely go uphill for the heel faction on WWE RAW, possibly resulting in several more championship bouts in the coming months.
