IYO SKY sends heartfelt statement before attending non-WWE show

IYO SKY sent a heartfelt statement before attending a non-WWE show. She is set to compete on the show.

IYO SKY is a leading figure in Japanese women's wrestling. After competing in Japan for several years, she made her way to the United States where she signed with WWE and started competing on NXT. SKY quickly became the NXT Women's Champion. After a string of consistent performances, she was called up to the main roster where she won the Money in the Bank briefcase. She then cashed in the briefcase to win the WWE Women's Championship, a title she held till WrestleMania 40.

Given WWE's recent partnership with TNA Wrestling, Marigold, and other top promotions around the world, SKY is set to appear on the first PPV for Dreamstar Fighting Marigold called Summer Destiny. In fact, she is scheduled to compete against Utami Hiyashishita.

Ahead of this appearance, the Damage CTRL member took to social media to send a message to her fans.

"Good morning Japan. Today will be an amazing big day!!"

IYO SKY labeled her match at Summer Destiny a "dream match"

Utami Hiyashishita is a promising Japanese wrestler with a bright future. She is also a popular star in Japan much like her opponent. Hence, when this match was announced, fans were excited about it.

IYO SKY recently acknowledged the significance of this match and what it means for women's wrestling. She stated that it would be a 'dream match' not only for women's wrestling in Japan but all over the world.

"As a WWE Superstar, I will enter the ring at #マリーゴールド July 13th at Ryogoku Kokugikan. This will be a 'dream match' for women's wrestling fans not only in Japan but all over the world. This premium fight will never happen again. Please look forward to it,'' she said.
