Jacob Fatu breaks character for the first time in a rare backstage moment in WWE
Jacob Fatu is considered the most fearsome member of The Bloodline due to his size, athleticism and aggression. However, The Samoan Werewolf recently broke character in a backstage moment at a WWE event.
After years on the independent circuit, mainly in Major League Wrestling, Fatu was signed by WWE back in April of this year. He made his debut on the June 21st episode of SmackDown, helping The Bloodline attack Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens, and Randy Orton.
The ruthless WWE star is the complete opposite backstage in a video shared by Jey Uso's son, Jeyce Fatu. The Samoan Werewolf gave a shoutout to his nephew and even praised his cousin Jey and his wife Takecia Travis.
"Let's go boys. I'm here with my nephew, Jeyce, and he's awesome... Shoutout to my nephew, Jeyce, for being such a great Fatu. Shoutout to his parents for being such great parents and shoutout to his big brother (Jaciyah), hello nephew, you know what I'm saying? God is good, God is great, boy," Jacob said.
Jacob Fatu and The Usos are first cousins since their fathers Samuel and Solofa are twin brothers. Samuel was popularly known as Tama and The Tonga Kid, while Solofa is WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi.
Jacob Fatu resolves issue surrounding controversy with a non-profit group
The Samoan Werewolf made headlines recently after reportedly "ghosting" a non-profit organization called Jake's Network of Hope in 2023 when he was not with WWE. Jacob Fatu allegedly didn't return the money and fans began calling him out for his unprofessional behavior back then.
However, Jake's Network of Hope officially released a statement regarding the issue. Fatu got in contact with them in May and paid back the money he owed the next month.
"In May, Jacob Fatu reached out with a heartfelt apology, initiating a meaningful dialogue that allowed us to work together with all parties involved to find solutions and fully resolve the matter. This event aimed to confront the challenging realities of poverty and the immense obstacles to overcoming it. While not everything unfolded perfectly, we are grateful for the awareness raised around diaper needs and the substantial costs of providing essential products to families. As Jacob Fatu embarks on his WWE journey, we wish him every success and are inspired by the solidarity shown across the wrestling community in support of this critical mission," the statement read. Fatu and The Bloodline seemingly met their match after The OG Bloodline officially reunited last Friday on SmackDown. They are set to clash at the end of November at Survivor Series: WarGames.
