Jacob Fatu breaks character to send an emotional message after major win on WWE SmackDown
Jacob Fatu has quickly become one of the most fearsome wrestlers in WWE since making his debut a couple of months ago. The Bloodline star reflected on his rapid rise to the top after main eventing SmackDown last night.
Jacob teamed up with Solo Sikoa in the main event of this week's SmackDown. The duo took on Kevin Owens and Randy Orton ahead of their match against Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns at Bad Blood. While KO looked to have won the match for his team, Tonga Loa threw Cody into the ring to knock the referee down. The Samoan Werewolf took advantage of the situation to help The Bloodline pick up the win.
Following the show, Jacob Fatu reflected on his incredible journey as the star watched The Bloodline headline SmackDown last year and was in the main event this time. He sent an emotional reply on X:
"They will never know brother," Fatu posted.
Jacob Fatu could be WWE's next big babyface, Tom Lawlor believes
Jacob Fatu has quickly established himself as one of the most dangerous men on the WWE roster. The Samoan Werewolf took out Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens, and Randy Orton single-handedly on his first night in the company and is seen as a major threat to Roman Reigns.
While Jacob is currently a heel, ex-UFC star, and pro wrestler Tom Lawlor believes the Samoan could become one of the biggest babyfaces down the line:
"In the long run, he’s gonna be the one at the top of the card as a singles act, you can already tell. He’s gonna be so over as a babyface. His move set and his skills and the way he moves are already kind of tailored to it in the long run, but the fans are clamoring for it now. They wanted him to take that title shot against Cody Rhodes. [WWE has] already done a good job setting it up with taking the tag title away from him, now taking away his shot at Cody Rhodes. So when he finally does get these matches, the crowd’s gonna be going wild," Lawlor said.
Jacob Fatu will be in action at WWE's upcoming premium live event, Bad Blood, where he will team up with Solo Sikoa to face Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes. The Samoan Werewolf will likely be the deciding factor in the match.
