Jacob Fatu is WWE's next uber-babyface, says ex-UFC star

WWE's Jacob Fatu has already created significant buzz. There is an aura around him that puts him in a better position through the lens of some fans than The Bloodline's leader, Solo Sikoa. Ex-UFC star and professional wrestler, Tom Lawlor, echoed the sentiment of fans, stating that Fatu has the potential to become a huge babyface.

Tom Lawlor is currently signed to NJPW and MLW, where Jacob Fatu had previously wrestled. He praised Fatu as an exceptional in-ring performer.

Speaking with Steven Muehlhausen on Walkway To Fight Club, Lawlor pointed to the loud reactions Jacob Fatu is getting, who has "overshadowed" the rest of The Bloodline. He feels WWE is playing their cards right here, and that when The Samoan Werewolf eventually does receive opportunities against major players in the game, the company will have a big star in their hands:

"In the long run, he’s gonna be the one at the top of the card as a singles act, you can already tell. He’s gonna be so over as a babyface. His move set and his skills and the way he moves are already kind of tailored to it in the long run, but the fans are clamoring for it now. They wanted him to take that title shot against Cody Rhodes. [WWE has] already done a good job setting it up with taking the tag title away from him, now taking away his shot at Cody Rhodes. So when he finally does get these matches, the crowd’s gonna be going wild," Lawlor said. [From 30:36 to 31:25]

Jacob Fatu joins Solo Sikoa to battle Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes at WWE Bad Blood

Two weeks ago on SmackDown, Solo Sikoa questioned Jacob Fatu's loyalty to him after the latter was acknowledged by Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. The American Nightmare event went on to say that he would rather defend his belt against The Samoan Werewolf than The Bloodline's leader.

This past Friday, Sikoa failed to win the title from Rhodes inside a Steel Cage, after which Roman Reigns made his return to SmackDown. The OTC was taken out by Jacob Fatu a few weeks ago. On account of what transpired on the blue brand, GM Nick Aldis booked Rhodes and Reigns together against Sikoa and Fatu.

The duo signed the contract, much to the chagrin of The Bloodline's leader. How this plays out at Bad Blood bears watching. Needless to say, the tag team contest has the potential to steal the show. Meanwhile, WWE Hall of Famer Booker T believes The Samoan Werewolf can legitimately dethrone Cody Rhodes.
