Jade Cargill shares new update with her “partner” and top AEW star
Jade Cargill was with AEW for almost two years and ten months and has already been with WWE for one year and one month. The rising superstar is still friends with some of her All Elite colleagues, and she still trains at one familiar facility. Ahead of a major WWE title defense, Cargill just shared a training photo that quickly went viral.
Big Money Jade and Bianca Belair are about to hit the 60-day mark of their second reign as WWE Women's Tag Team Champions. Since dethroning The Unholy Union at Bash in Berlin on August 31, the champs have retained over Damage CTRL's Kairi Sane and IYO SKY, Meta-Four's Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend, plus The Unholy Union's Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre in their rematch. Cargill and Belair are now preparing to defend at Crown Jewel on November 2.
Cargill was training at The Nightmare Factory in Georgia today, along with AEW's Ricky Starks. The facility is owned and operated by WWE's Cody Rhodes and AEW's QT Marshall. Jade shared a photo of the two working out on the mat, which sent fans into a frenzy of chatter and speculation.
"Training these days [rolling on the floor laughing emoji] [savoring food emoji," Jade Cargill wrote with the photo below.
Three minutes later, Cargill shared a follow-up as dozens of fan replies flooded in, asking about her familiar training partner. She tagged Starks to confirm him, along with a three-word reply and one emoji.
"With my partner @starkmanjones [fire emoji]," Jade Cargill wrote.
Starks has been rumored to join WWE for months now, but a recent backstage update provided a better timeline on when that debut might happen. Starks is good friends with Cargill and Cody Rhodes, and has defended his presence at major WWE events held this year.
Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair to defend at WWE PLE
Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair are set to defend the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship in less than one week. The duo will go up against three other teams in a Fatal 4 Way at Crown Jewel 2024.
The EST and Big Money Jade will face the following teams at Crown Jewel: Chelsea Green and Piper Niven, IYO SKY and Kairi Sane of Damage CTRL, and Meta-Four's Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend. The champions have recent title defenses over the NXT team and Damage CTRL, but their only win over Green and Niven was a SmackDown non-title bout in April.
Crown Jewel VI will air this Saturday from the Mohammed Abdo Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The PLE will hit Peacock at 1 p.m. ET. WWE will then tape the first-ever RAW from Saudi Arabia on Sunday, to air on Monday, November 4, in its usual timeslot.
