Jade Cargill has a special reason why she wants to enter WWE's 2025 Royal Rumble
Usually, WWE Superstars want to enter the Royal Rumble and win the titular bout because it guarantees them a shot to headline WrestleMania for any world title, but Jade Cargill's reason is a bit more than that. For her, it is a checkpoint and a fitting moment to reflect on her one-year anniversary in the sports entertainment giant.
The Storm hit during the 2024 Women's Royal Rumble, marking her WWE in-ring debut after signing with the company last September. She was the third-to-last woman to get eliminated from the bout by current Women's World Champion Liv Morgan.
Speaking to Wrestlezone earlier this month, Jade Cargill reminded about her arrival to World Wrestling Entertainment. She said this year was all about learning. But next year, when she enters the 30-Women Battle Royal again, it is a matter of assessing how far she has come:
"No, nothing really. It is just that I’m going out there and that’s where everybody [saw me debut]. That’s where my big debut happened," Jade Cargill explained. "So, [it’s] just to see what I’ve learned and what I’ve developed in a year here at WWE. That’s it."
By May 2024, Jade won her first title in WWE—the Women's Tag Team Championship. She has been paired with record-setting former Women's Champion Bianca Belair, who knew from the start that a program with The Storm means big money for World Wrestling Entertainment.
Konnan blasts WWE for stalling Bianca Belair vs. Jade Cargill
Wrestling veteran Konnan believes Bianca Belair vs. Jade Cargill is the ultimate destination point for WWE. The bout has all the makings of a WrestleMania main event. Unfortunately, Triple H & Co. has nothing worthwhile for the Women's Tag Team Champions until then.
Speaking on his podcast Keepin' It 100, Konnan blasted the Stamford-based promotion's creative for stalling with the two WWE Superstars despite their solid in-ring abilities and overall performance capabilities:
"We all know that's gonna happen sooner or later," Konnan on Bianca Belair vs. Jade Cargill happening at WrestleMania 41. "But [WWE] should be doing something with them now. They should not be running their wheels with two girls that look like that."
