Jake Roberts says 2022 WWE Hall of Famer was a bully

Jake Roberts recently recalled how he did not get along with wrestling legend Vader in WWE.

The two men crossed paths several times in 1996, most notably in the King of the Ring semi-final. Roberts won the match, but he also suffered a broken sternum. Later that night, the current AEW personality lost the King of the Ring final to Steve Austin.

On his podcast, The Snake Pit, Roberts was asked to name an unpopular wrestler in the locker room:

"Well, Vader was one. Oh yeah [people had issues with Vader], oh yeah. Ask Paul Orndorff. That's the thing, Vader was a bully. He would pull s**t when he knew he could pull s**t. I believe Shawn Michaels and him had a little problem, too, so I don't know." [9:30 – 10:06]

As Roberts referenced, Orndorff confronted Vader after he arrived late to a WCW show in 1995. Ornforff allegedly punched the 2022 WWE Hall of Fame inductee before officials stepped in.

Jake Roberts once purposely hurt Vader

Following their King of the Ring 1996 match, Jake Roberts faced Vader at two untelevised WWE live events despite having concerns about his opponent's recklessness.

In one match, Roberts exacted revenge for the King of the Ring incident by catching Vader in the ear with a forceful elbow strike:

"I told him, 'Forget it, I don't wanna do it [wrestle each other again].' I got him with a live round after he broke my sternum. I shot an elbow into his ear. He stumbled. He didn't go down, but he stumbled." [7:56 – 8:17]

Roberts also said recently that he would like veteran wrestling personality Jim Cornette to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
