Janel Grant's attorney lashes out at Vince McMahon's statement before Netflix documentary; says she will not be "silenced"

The Vince McMahon Netflix documentary is coming out soon, and before its release, the former WWE CEO decided to issue a statement. Now, Janel Grant's attorney has issued a response to the statement.

Earlier today, the former WWE CEO took to social media to talk about the documentary and how it was edited to misrepresent the reality of the situation. He also called the situation with Janel Grant an "affair" that he had ended.

Check out his statement below:

Now, in a statement released by Janel Grant's attorney, the team has lashed out at McMahon, talking about his "criminal behavior" and how calling it just an "affair" was allegedly delusional and a "sad attempt to save" his reputation. They also said that they hoped the documentary shed light on the incidents surrounding Vince McMahon's actions.

“Vince McMahon physically and emotionally abused, s**ually assaulted and human trafficked Janel Grant for more than two years. Calling his horrific and criminal behavior “an affair” is delusional and nothing more than a sad attempt to save his shredded reputation. Although Ms. Grant has not seen the “Mr. McMahon” docuseries, we hope it shines a bright light on his abhorrent and criminal actions by accurately portraying the realities of his abusive and exploitative behavior."

The statement went on to say that she would no longer be silenced by him and that they intended to hold McMahon, John Laurinaitis, as well as WWE, responsible.

“Ms. Grant will no longer be silenced by McMahon. Her story, though deeply troubling and exceptionally painful, is one that can help other abuse survivors find their voices. We seek to hold McMahon, John Laurinaitis and WWE accountable and to give Ms. Grant her day in court.”

It remains to be seen what the documentary will actually show, and whether Vince McMahon will respond to this.
