Janel Grant's attorney releases damning statement following Vince McMahon docuseries release
The attorney for Janel Grant has released a statement regarding the airing of the Vince McMahon docuseries on Netflix. Janel Grant has accused McMahon of sex trafficking her during her time as a WWE employee.
Netflix's six-part docuseries titled "Mr. McMahon" began airing last night on the streaming platform. Janel Grant's attorney, Ann Callis, released a statement following the release of the docuseries. Callis noted that Netflix's docuseries only "scratches the surface" of Mr. McMahon's behavior.
“The ‘Mr. McMahon’ docuseries makes it clear there is no difference between Vince McMahon’s on-air persona and his true self, they are one and the same. His “character” – known for violent outbursts, sexual deviance, and manipulation – is the real Vince McMahon and exactly what Janel Grant experienced behind closed doors at WWE for years. While the docuseries put McMahon’s obsession with power and control on full display, it only scratches the surface of his criminal behavior and it fails to tell the full story of his abuse, sexual assault, and human trafficking of Ms. Grant," wrote Callis.
Ann Callis added that her client deserves the opportunity to tell her story and looks forward to seeing McMahon in court.
"She deserves the opportunity to tell her story, on her own time, and in her own way. We look forward to her day in court and to seeing McMahon at last held accountable for his actions," added Callis.
Randy Orton comments on Vince McMahon's WWE exit
WWE Superstar Randy Orton recently noted that it was nice that Vince McMahon was no longer in the company.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling's Bill Apter earlier this year, The Viper stated that McMahon did a lot for him during his career. However, Orton added that it was time for a change, and he enjoyed the new leadership in the company.
"All the opportunities he gave me, it's nice having him out of there and it's nice having his son-in-law, Triple H, running the game. Nick Khan's great. Everybody in TKO that's come in, stepped in, they seem to get it, and it's just a different era," Orton said. [4:19 – 4:35]
