JD McDonagh comments on huge return with Finn Balor after two years
JD McDonagh is set to make a huge return alongside Finn Balor for a special occasion. He has given his thoughts on this big moment.
JD McDonagh made a name for himself in the Irish wrestling scene for several years before signing with WWE. He competed for a couple of Irish promotions and also competed in Over The Top, where he won the OTT World Title and the OTT No Limits World Heavyweight Championship.
Since then, he has come a long way in his career and is now one of the top stars in WWE. However, one-half of the World Tag Team Champion will return to OTT for the company's 10th-year anniversary on October 26, along with Finn Balor. McDonagh's last match for OTT was in 2022 against Mark Haskins.
During a recent interview with Irish Wrestling & Entertainment, McDonagh commented on his return to OTT after two years.
"Man, it’s absolutely beyond belief. It’s huge. The next couple months are just something 14-year-old me could never have written it any better. Returning to the homeland with Finn for OTT, it’s absolutely unbelievable," McDonagh said. [H/T Fightfu
Vince Russo slammed JD McDonagh for his actions on WWE RAW
The Judgment Day has been feuding with Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley for the past few months. On the September 16 edition of RAW, Priest faced off against Dominik Mysterio in the main event.
While The Archer of Infamy won the match, he was soon attacked by The Judgment Day. The group laid him and Ripley out and stood tall at the end of the night. However, WWE veteran Vince Russo was upset with this segment.
Speaking on Sportskeeda's Legion of RAW, Russo slammed McDonagh for sticking his tongue out during the segment.
"I had a laugh because I am watching the beauty shot at the end of the show and freaking JD McDonagh is there sticking his tongue out. I am like, are you doing that because you saw animals do that? That’s why they’re doing it. It’s bad enough you look like an idiot, now you’re gonna stick out your tongue for no reason."
It will be interesting to see how JD McDonagh and Finn Balor will be involved in OTT's 10th anniversary show.
