Jeff Hardy namedropped on WWE event after Hardy Boyz expressed interest in another tag team title run
Former WWE Champion Jeff Hardy was mentioned by Je'Von Evans on NXT Great American Bash this week in a video package. This comes after he and Matt Hardy recently spoke about possibly challenging for the NXT Tag Team Titles.
Je'Von Evans was discussing his childhood and how he fell in love with professional wrestling. He named Jeff Hardy and Rob Van Dam as the wrestlers who inspired him growing up. He even recalled climbing a wall one time in school and stated that it made him feel like he was The Charismatic Enigma.
Jeff Hardy currently competes in TNA, a promotion that has a working relationship with WWE. Joe Hendry and The Rascalz were all on NXT this week. A few days ago, The Hardy Boyz spoke to Bill Apter of Sportskeeda where they expressed interest in winning the NXT Tag Team Championship for the first time.
"In wrestling, never say never, and I will say that the NXT Tag Team Titles are not on our list of titles that we've won, so we are interested in that. And I think this crossover between NXT and TNA's great. It's exciting, it's unpredictable, and I think that's a positive for the business and the industry," said Matt Hardy.
"I'm a fan of first-time-evers. Us in NXT, just the vision of that, it's very exciting to me," said Jeff.
It'll be interesting to see whether The Hardy Boyz will be the next ones to walk through The Prohibited Portal.
