Jeff Hardy teases huge character return after 13 years (Exclusive)

Jeff Hardy is viewed by many as one of the most beloved wrestlers of the last three decades. In an exclusive interview, the 46-year-old teased the possibility of turning heel following his recent return to TNA.

Between October 2010 and March 2011, Hardy portrayed the villainous Antichrist of Pro Wrestling character in TNA. During that time, he became part of the Immortal faction and joined forces with Eric Bischoff and Hulk Hogan. He also renamed his Twist of Fate move to "Twist of Hate."

Speaking to Sportskeeda Wrestling's Senior, Editor Bill Apter, Hardy gave an insight into his passion for singing. The legendary wrestler then hinted that he could become The Antichrist of Pro Wrestling again if he ever feuds with fellow musician Joe Hendry.

"It's super exciting," Hardy said. "I've continuously done music over the years, but now I'm starting to feel something in my brain with melody and my voice and how to control it more, so I keep putting myself in these scary situations like tonight, going out there and singing sober, which is very scary, I'm still getting used to that, but I'm starting to believe in myself more when it comes to singing. And who knows, man, The Antichrist of Pro Wrestling might show back up in TNA and challenge Joe Hendry and say, 'You people aren't smart enough to understand my music!'" [7:43 – 8:11]

Matt Hardy on how he and Jeff Hardy returned to TNA

In April, Matt Hardy appeared in TNA after a seven-year absence following his departure from AEW. Two months later, Jeff Hardy also returned to TNA after watching his brother unsuccessfully challenge Moose for the World Championship at Against All Odds.

In the same interview, Matt Hardy revealed his latest reunion with Jeff was not part of a long-term plan and just seems to have worked out because they were both free agents, who were figuring out their next career moves.

"I didn't know [if Jeff would return to TNA], and it was one of those things, when I first started with TNA I agreed to work through the match with Moose and I didn't know what was going on. I didn't know if we would end up back in AEW, WWE, everything was on the table, right? And then just the way things worked out, Jeff's like, 'Ah, yeah, I think my [AEW] deal's running out, maybe we'll do that and I'll show up there,' and it became a realization," he said. Matt and Jeff Hardy defeated Brian Myers and Eddie Edwards via disqualification on the July 18 episode of iMPACT! Following the match, Jeff was stretchered away after being attacked at ringside.
