Jesse Ventura provides interesting update ahead of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event

WWE Saturday Night's Main Event is set to make a return on December 14. The show will air from Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Uniondale, New York. However, ahead of the event, wrestling legend Jesse 'The Body' Ventura shared a major update regarding the show.

Earlier this month, the wrestling promotion announced that the WWE Hall of Famer would return to the commentary desk after fifteen years. Ventura will call the action at Saturday Night's Main Event.

During his recent appearance on The Bill Simmons Podcast, Jesse Ventura claimed that the upcoming event would provide a nostalgic experience for the fans. He added that the WWE Superstars would walk through the crowd to enter the squared circle instead of walking down the ramp. The 73-year-old also pointed out that the entrances would be without the fancy lights.

"The whole show is going to be a throwback. That means it’s going to look like it did before, the graphics, [and] everything. The wrestlers are not coming down that ramp. They’re not coming with all the lights and spectacular. They’re coming in through the crowd like the old days. That’s why they brought me back. We’re going back in the time capsule. It’s going to be four times a year," he said. [H/T: WrestlingNews.co]

Ahead of his return to the commentary, Jesse Ventura was in attendance at the latest edition of Friday Night SmackDown.

While speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Smack Talk, wrestling veteran Dutch Mantell shared his honest opinion about Ventura's appearance at the show in his hometown of Minneapolis. The 75-year-old said he was happy to see Jesse and expressed excitement about the latter's commentary at the upcoming event.

"That was good! He is going to do some commentary, right? Very good. That's another thing I would tune in, just to listen to him. How long has it been since Jesse has been commentating for WWE? 35, 40 years? Okay, a long time ago. Anyway, in Minneapolis, he is synonymous. It was good to see him tonight. He looked good," he said. [From 35:30 onwards]
