Jey Uso names his "first pick" should he join Roman Reigns against The Bloodline
Jey Uso is paying close attention to what is happening on SmackDown as the show returned to the USA Network this past Friday. In an unexpected turn of events, Roman Reigns found a tag team partner in Cody Rhodes for Bad Blood, something nobody could have anticipated prior to the show.
When asked whether he will join his cousin to take down Solo Sikoa's Bloodline, the former Right Hand Man revealed that he is intrigued but also added he does not know what WWE has in store for this angle. He then brought up the former Honorary Uce, Sami Zayn.
Speaking to Metro, Main Event Jey Uso stated that Sami Zayn would be his "first pick" should he to join Roman Reigns in the war. He added that it makes most sense for the former Intercontinental Champion to join them:
"I’m looking forward to The Bloodline storyline as much as you all are, because I’ll be honest, I don’t know what we’re going to do, I don’t know what’s going to happen. I don’t know how they’re going to intertwine me back in there… Sami would be my first pick, right? It only makes sense. Hey, we might have other family members, more surprises, man," Uso said.
Jey Uso is currently after his first singles title on RAW. He is the new number-one contender to Bron Breakker's Intercontinental Championship.
Jey Uso makes bold claim about The Bloodline and Sami Zayn
On-screen, Jey Uso just wanted to get out of The Bloodline. Following his colossal loss at SummerSlam in 2023 thanks to a timely interference from his twin brother Jimmy Uso, he left SmackDown and his family behind. A few weeks later, Cody Rhodes brought him to RAW. He has since shone as his own man.
Despite all of what transpired in front of fans, Uso admitted that behind the scenes, he still loves his brother more than anything and feels like he needs his family. He further went on to state that his run with The Bloodline and Sami Zayn was the best time of his WWE career:
"I know we hated each other on screen, but we really love each other in the back, but it just came off on TV, so organically," he recalled. "You will have little glimpses of me and him on Raw but man, I really want to go like, full blown tag team with him and try to see how that goes. One of the most best times of my wrestling career was that Bloodline, with Sami Zayn."
It remains to be seen whether all of this hype for a Bloodline reunion actually comes to fruition. Needless to say, all of the original members are doing extremely well individually.
