Jey Uso pays tribute to Roman Reigns' father Sika after his passing
Jey Uso has paid tribute to WWE Hall of Famer Sika Anoa'i, who passed away at 79. The wrestling legend is the father of Roman Reigns.
Sika and his brother Afa were part of a tag team called the Wild Samoans. They held the WWF/E World Tag Team Championship thrice in the '80s and were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2007. Sika's nephew Jahrus Anoa'i broke the unfortunate news on Instagram, stating that his uncle passed away on June 25, 2024.
Many superstars took to social media to react to the news, including Jey Uso, a member of the Anao'i wrestling dynasty. He reposted WWE's announcement on Instagram and shared a photo of himself putting up a 1 to acknowledge Sika Anoa'i, who was an elder of his family.
"I HAD TO... ONE TIME FOR UNK. RIP," Uso wrote with the image.

Jey Uso's cousin Roman Reigns issued a statement on Sika's passing
Jey Uso and Roman Reigns were the founding members of The Bloodline, which is one of the biggest factions in WWE history. Before they joined forces, they were rivals in 2020, and they faced each other in an 'I Quit' Hell in a Cell match for the Universal Championship.
After The Head of the Table won the match, The Wild Samoans showed up on the ramp. Sika placed the Ula Fala on Roman Reigns, and they embraced each other. The former WWE Champion posted a statement on his father's passing.
"My family and I thank everyone for the outpouring of support in the name of my father, Pola'ivao Leati Sika Anoa’i, who will forever be remembered as one half of The Wild Samoans tag team. My father had a profound impact on my entire family and we are forever grateful for the foundation he built for us. There’s no way to fill the void left by his passing but my sisters and I will do our best to represent him and his legacy. Rest in Power, Dad. We love you," Reigns wrote.
Roman Reigns made his last WWE appearance at WrestleMania XL Sunday. The majority of wrestling fans are eagerly awaiting his return to the ring.
Sportskeeda Wrestling sends its condolences to the Anoa'i family.
