Jey Uso pitches deeply personal rematch for upcoming episode of WWE RAW
Jey Uso has become one of WWE's top singles superstars. The younger of The Usos walked out on The Bloodline just over one year ago, then entered RAW singles competition after spending the previous sixteen years as a tag team wrestler. Jey has just pitched a major singles rematch from this past year, which could be the biggest of his entire career, and he has an interesting venue in mind. This would be against his brother, Jimmy Uso.
The Usos battled for the first time during Night One of WrestleMania XL. In the fourth match of the night and half-point of the show, Jey defeated Jimmy Uso in just over eleven minutes. After a few emotional moments, the brothers embraced, to boos from the WWE Universe, but Jimmy pulled a ruse and superkicked his brother. The older Uso still failed to win, allowing Jey to finish him with a Spear and his signature splash.
Main Event Jey is ready for the rematch as he was not fully satisfied with what happened at The Show of Shows this year. Speaking to Peter Rosenberg for Cheap Heat at ComplexCon, the one-time Intercontinental Champion made the revelation when asked who he might want to face at the big WrestleMania 41 show. Jey admitted that the match with Jimmy left a bad taste in his mouth.
"Nah man, [I haven’t thought about it]. To be honest though, I would like to run it back with my brother one more time. I would like to, because, it left a lil' bad taste in my mouth with that one," Jey Uso said.
Jey doubled down on the idea, noting that he knows The Usos can do better than what the WWE Universe saw in Philadelphia earlier this year. The 39-year-old also commented on how they may have missed out on stealing the show for some reason he really did not elaborate on.
"For sure, for sure [it’s something I want to do]. I just know what we can do. The fans have no damn clue, but I know. Me and my brother know, and hell yeah, we would’ve stole the show. Come on bruh, come on Uce... Things happen. We’re all a team..." Jey Uso said.
In case it was too long to wait till WrestleMania, then Jey was also interested in wrestling Jimmy during the WWE RAW Netflix premiere in January.
"I would light that damn thing up [if the match happens on January 6]. It’d be sold-out, it’d be energy. Come on Uce, come on... You talking about setting the tone? On some Netflix? Put me in the spot. Let’s do it, let’s do it... I would like to run it back just one more time. Nah, nah [no stipulations]... Straight up, straight up. Storytelling, Uce. Come on, that’s our thing," Jey Uso said. [H/T - POSTWrestling]
The Usos have not teamed up on WWE TV since defeating Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa at Money in the Bank 2023. They will, however, on November 30 as part of the WarGames bout at Survivor Series when the OG Bloodline takes on Solo Sikoa's Bloodline.
