Jey Uso's role in The Bloodline Saga has affected WWE RAW, says analyst
WWE creative is writing The Bloodline Saga's latest chapter, and Jey Uso is once again part of it. One year after he moved on from his family and established his position on RAW as Mr. Main Event, he is back where he was.
According to former WWE analyst Matt Camp, Uso's involvement in this story has affected the red brand, as there is a lack of star power. Camp noted that Main Event Jey is the biggest star Triple H & Co. was able to create in the past year on the flagship show. He briefly held the Intercontinental Championship not long ago, but creative had The Bloodline cost him the title to have him back in the fold.
Several stars on the red brand's roster, including CM Punk, Drew McIntyre, Rhea Ripley, and more, are currently on a hiatus. Speaking on his YouTube channel, The Wrestling Matt, Matt Camp noted how the current storylines on television are not as good as whatever The Bloodline is doing. Furthermore, SmackDown has bigger stars than RAW as of this writing:
"It does feel like in some way, RAW is lacking star power. Now, you take Drew McIntyre, you take CM Punk, you take Rhea Ripley, hell, even take Becky Lynch out of the mix, a star power that's not there right now. You're single star that you've really created on the men's side in the last year is back to doing what he was doing before he came to RAW. I'm talking about Jey Uso," Matt Camp said. The former WWE analyst feels that RAW does not have that one angle that is exclusive. He does not consider Gunther vs. Damian Priest II for the World Heavyweight Championship at Survivor Series: WarGames as a worthy top-tier storyline for the flagship show.
Jey Uso can become The Tribal Chief only if Roman Reigns retires from WWE, says Sam Roberts
WWE analyst Sam Roberts touched upon a topic of discussion in the wrestling world on his NotSam Wrestling podcast: the true identity of The Tribal Chief. While Solo Sikoa and Roman Reigns are fighting for the position, Jey Uso is brought up as the right successor to the OTC.
Sam Roberts agreed that Main Event Jey could become The Tribal Chief but then added a clause to it. The only way he can is if Roman Reigns retires from WWE:
"I think that all of that would only work if Roman is retiring. If that's Roman's retirement match, then yes. If he's not, then no," he said.
Heading into Survivor Series: WarGames, WWE has relaxed the brand split as Jey Uso and Sami Zayn have joined Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso on SmackDown. This past Friday, 'Big' Bronson Reed joined Solo Sikoa's team.
Solo Sikoa and the rest of The Bloodline have also appeared on the red brand over the past few weeks.
