Jey Uso takes a deeply personal shot at Bron Breakker on RAW
Jey Uso is one week away from possibly being a singles Champion in WWE for the first time in 14 years. In a stand-off with Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker on RAW - he took a deeply personal shot.
It was announced that next week on RAW, Bron Breakker will defend his Intercontinental Championship. Jey, who won the number one contender's Fatal Four-Way match last week, came out this week to hype up the bout, and a confrontation in the ring was inevitable. Before that, they previously interacted backstage. Breakker said that he had done his research on Jey and mocked him for having more success as a singles star in six months than the Samoan star has in nearly a decade-and-a-half.
Jey Uso said that for all Bron Breakker knows, his Intercontinental Championship reign will be short and sweet - just like his NFL career. This was a big trigger for the Champion, who attacked Jey. However, when he tried hitting his signature spear, Jey beat him to it and hit the spear instead.
Breakker was an NFL aspirant and even entered the draft, but he went undrafted. He was signed by the Baltimore Ravens but ultimately released within six months.
It looks like Jey won the battle, but Breakker is looking to win the war. Considering how Jey Uso stood tall one week before their match, it seems quite unlikely that he will become the Intercontinental Champion.
All signs seem to point to Bron Breakker enjoying a long reign with the Intercontinental Championship
