Jimmy Uso's brutal tribute from WWE WarGames revealed
Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, and other WWE Superstars are still reeling from the 14th WarGames match in company history, which closed the 38th annual Survivor Series PLE this past Saturday. Many fans on social media labeled Jimmy the MVP of the match, and his tribute from the match has been revealed and acknowledged by those who matter.
Jimmy joined Roman Reigns, Jey Uso, Sami Zayn, and CM Punk in representing The OG Bloodline in their WarGames victory over The New Bloodline's Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Bronson Reed. At one point, Jimmy climbed to the top of the double cage and put Fatu through a table with the Uso splash. This was a tribute to his father - WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi. It was later confirmed that the older Uso suffered a broken toe on the dive.
24 years, 4 months, and 6 days before Jimmy's big WarGames dive, his father was celebrated by the WWE Universe after hitting a similar splash. Fully Loaded 2000 saw Rikishi come up short against then-Intercontinental Champion Val Venis inside a Steel Cage. The match included interference by Trish Stratus and Taz on behalf of the champion and Lita on behalf of the challenger.
A fan on X and Instagram created a side-by-side look at Rikishi's Fully Loaded splash and Jimmy's Survivor Series splash. Naomi and the former Too Cool member himself re-posted the clip, which is seen below.
Jimmy Uso is expected to miss some ring time due to the broken toe. He did not appear with his brother during the early segments of tonight's RAW episode, but there's no word yet on whether Jimmy will be at Friday's SmackDown.
Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso asked about reuniting
Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso fought at WrestleMania XL earlier this year, with Main Event Jey winning. The brothers reunited after Jimmy's hiatus, and there's new speculation that they will once again make a run for tag team gold.
The Usos were asked about a potential run during Saturday's Survivor Series post-show press conference. Jey Uso left the door open and praised his older brother, Jimmy Uso, as a singles competitor.
"I think whatever presents a way toward us, man. The Usos will always be The Usos, right? And we did everything in tag team wrestling, I feel like. But they can't get this—they can get this work if they want it. Well, whatever happens, happens, you know what I'm saying? My twin brother, Jim, can hold his own on his—you know, [in] singles competition, too. And I like where we're at right now. We can move and groove either way. That's what I think," Jey Uso said.
The Usos have not teamed up in standard televised tag team action since Money in the Bank 2023, where they defeated Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa. Jimmy and Jey Uso are one-time FCW Florida Tag Team Champions, three-time RAW Tag Team Champions, and five-time SmackDown Tag Team Champions.
