Jinder Mahal reveals how WWE stars hide under the ring

Jinder Mahal recently revealed how WWE stars can hide under the ring during matches. The veteran was released by the promotion earlier this year on April 19.

Mahal was a guest on former WWE Superstar Maven Huffman's YouTube channel and broke down the Punjabi Prison Match. Jinder Mahal defeated Randy Orton at Battleground 2017 to retain the WWE Championship after The Great Khali interfered in the match.

Maven asked Jinder Mahal if The Singh Brothers were hiding under the ring until they appeared, and The Modern Day Maharaja explained how stars can be concealed under the squared circle.

"When we're in a commercial break, in this case, it is a PPV, so maybe when there is a video package playing, all the lights in the arena go dark. Throughout the night, the ring crew is coming out to change something, generally you can sneak under there without anybody noticing. I've done that a bunch of times," said Jinder Mahal [From 12:49 - 13:06]

The former champion added that there is a man under the ring who communicates with the producers, and stars hang out on a mat and watch the monitor until it is time for them to get involved.

"Underneath the ring, it is called a bed. There is a little mat there, and there is a gentleman by the name of Nick Daw who is under there with a monitor. They have got water bottles down there, they've got diet Cokes, Red Bulls. So you have your bed, you've got your monitor, and Nick actually has a headset to the producers," added Mahal. Former WWE star Jinder Mahal discusses being released by the company

Wrestling veteran Jinder Mahal also opened up about being released by WWE and noted that it was only business.

Speaking with Sportskeeda Wrestling's Bill Apter and Dr. Chris Featherstone in an exclusive interview, Mahal discussed being let go by the promotion earlier this year. He noted that it was just business and noted that he could return to WWE someday.

"It's business at the end of the day. Business evolves, things change, shakeups happen, management changes, talent changes, but that's what makes a business interesting right? Like that's what makes wrestling interesting. I got released before, I came back, maybe I will come back again. Who knows right? So all good, it's business at the end of the day. Business goes on, at the end of the day I am still a professional wrestler and that's the only thing that matters," he said. [0:56 onwards]
