Joe Hendry reveals extremely personal moment ahead of "crazy" WWE appearance
Joe Hendry made an appearance in WWE NXT earlier this month. The 36-year-old star recently revealed that he had appeared in the Stamford-based promotion several times and the important advice a veteran gave him.
Hendry made an appearance on the white and gold brand to participate in the 25-man Battle Royal to determine Trick Williams' next challenger for the NXT Championship. However, he was quickly eliminated by other superstars after the match got going.
The former TNA Digital Media Champion has become more of an internet sensation and his appearance has tumbled a few social media records in 2024 for the Stamford-based company.
While speaking on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Hendry stated that he appeared in WWE a few times as a Rosebud and also got a chance to cut a promo as Lana and Rusev’s lawyer.
"I'm a seven or eight-time Rosebud at this point, many times because there were the house shows as well... I was actually Rusev and Lana's lawyer at one point as well which was crazy because if you think about how few people get mic time on RAW and SmackDown, I cut a 90-second promo as their lawyer on, I think it was SmackDown in Liverpool," Joe Hendry said.
The Scottish wrestler then talked about the extremely personal moment he had with William Regal who gave him some important advice. That may have boosted his confidence.
"William Regal had told us when you are asked if you can do something, be the one that steps up," Joe Hendry said. [H/T WrestlingINC]

Hendry added that he was asked to do a Russian accent for the role and had to Google how to do it properly while memorizing the script the Stamford-based company had given to him. That helped him get picked for the role on SmackDown.
Joe Hendry could be in for a few more appearances in WWE
The new partnership between WWE and TNA Wrestling has opened up a world of possibilities in the wrestling industry. Joe Hendry recently appeared in NXT, following which he had a confrontation with Shawn Michaels backstage.
Looking at his popularity and how he broke a social media record in WWE for 2024, the creative team could book him in a few more segments. It would be a win-win situation for all parties involved as Joe Hendry seems to be becoming a top name in the industry.
A few more appearances in the Stamford-based promotion will help the company test Hendry out if they plan to sign him in the future.
