"John Cena" - Major name plans to "call out" legendary WWE star after winning world title in another promotion
WWE legend John Cena is a dream opponent for many in the wrestling industry. A major name plans to call him out for a dream match if he wins a world title. That would be TNA Wrestling's Joe Hendry.
John Cena announced his retirement tour at the Money in the Bank Premium Live Event earlier this year. He stated that he would continue to fight in 2025 before calling it a day.
Joe Hendry has frequently appeared in NXT after WWE’s recent collaboration with TNA Wrestling. Hendry has even teamed up with former NXT Champion Trick Williams to defeat Ethan Page and Shawn Spears.
During a recent TNA Slammiversary Press Conference, a young fan asked Joe Hendry who would his dream opponent be if he won the TNA World Championship. The Scottish star stated that he plans to call out WWE legend John Cena after winning the title.
"See, I know what the answer is. But I don’t know if — I was going to save it till I win the championship. But, you know what? Since you asked, when I win the TNA World Championship, I might just turn to the camera and call out John Cena," Joe Hendry said.

TNA Slammiversary is only a few hours away. Fans could see Hendry call out one of the biggest names in the sports entertainment industry after winning the TNA World Championship on Saturday.
John Cena could break a major WWE record, according to wrestling veteran
John Cena’s retirement tour will likely be a treat for die-hard wrestling fans. The 16-time World Champion will be hoping to topple a few more records on his way out.
While speaking on Straight Talk with The Boss, wrestling veteran Magnum T.A. suggested that WWE could build a scenario where Cena wins the world title again not just once but twice. He noted that The Chain Gang Soldier could win the world title, drop it, and win it again in quick succession.
"Well, compared to that thing I watched for the World Heavyweight Title [at Money in the Bank] with that fiasco they had, he could probably win it, drop it, and win it again [inaudible] to be bluntly honest [laughs]," Magnum T.A. said.
It would be great to see Cena break Ric Flair’s record in his final WWE run. He deserves to be the face of the Stamford-based company in every way possible during his retirement tour.
