John Cena officially confirms when he's going to retire during surprise Money in the Bank appearance
John Cena and surprise Money in the Bank appearances have produced very interesting segments. In another surprise MITB appearance, he finally confirmed when he was going to retire and laid out a roadmap.
When Trish Stratus announced John Cena, he came out with a towel that read "The Last Time is Now" - which instantly gave fans watching on streaming a bit of heartache.
And John Cena wasted no time in announcing his retirement from WWE. While it seemed like it was him trolling fans, he announced a roadmap for his last hurrah in the promotion. Royal Rumble next year will be his last, Elimination Chamber too, and WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas will be his final WrestleMania as a competitor - seemingly confirming his retirement.
So it looks like WrestleMania 41 will be his last stand. Cena spoke a great deal about being excited about RAW on Netflix and we can only presume that he will be on the red brand for what will be his final program.
"The last time is now" is what he said to end his promo.
Cena always said that he wanted to retire before turning 50. He will be turning 48 a few days after WrestleMania in Las Vegas next year.
